Kobe the GREATEST???

Posted: April 17, 2006 in Uncategorized
This loon is totally out to lunch: an NBA analyst at Sunday’s Lakers-Suns game remarked during halftime that "Kobe Bryant will go down as the greatest basketball player that ever lived."

Puhleeze. It’s impossible for Kobe to ever strip "the greatest" label away from Michael Jordan for one simplistic reason: KOBE’S NOT A TEAM PLAYER. Never has been. He can log 40+ points in a game, and there’s still a significant chance his team will lose anyway…losses like that almost never happened to His Airness. The only reason Kobe’s piling up multiple 50-point games this year is because he’s a friggin’ ball hawg, he doesn’t let the other kids play.

This is not some dead-weight analyst, either…this blowhard (Mark Jackman) is a former point guard who has the second-highest assists statistic in NBA history. That’s right…he was a team player.

The best part was that this lunkhead made this "glorious pronouncement" while sitting next to Scottie Pippen, who immediately responded, "He’s nowhere near Michael". Well, duh. You could almost feel Jackman’s stomach sink as much as he did.

In the meantime, he\’s trying so hard to convince us that he\’s already god…
