Seahawks: Alexander reported to be cut

Not official yet, but c’mon, we all knew it was coming. Did we really expect the team to have him compete with Julius Jones and TJ Duckett for the starting position? To be totally fair, his numbers dropped drastically at the same time Hutch poison-pilled the team, so the new backs may find themselves with just as much of a problem (unless that offensive line gets fixed). Personally, I remember Shaun’s rookie season, behind Ricky Watters: his dancing the line style was odd, but the real play that made me scratch my head was at Husky Stadium when he was supposed to pick up a block on the left side…he didn’t even touch the guy, and Dilfer got planted hard, ending the drive. And it took a couple-more years before Shaun really started to get decent at blocking, but even then, he wasn’t that good at it. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a great guy, and puts on a real show for nationally televised games, and I’ll kinda miss seeing him play…
